BIRDS IN OUR HEADS

BIRDS IN OUR HEADS

I get lost in the streets of Florence. Suddenly, I’m facing someone who has birds over his head (or in his head: he’s scatterbrained). I take a picture. And I reflect on the phrase, “Got birds in his head”. It means he is mad or confused, or he has poor judgment, or excels in fantasy and imagination. And I cannot help it: I hope not only were the statues the ones that could have birds in their heads. We need people having good birds in theirs heads, too: good ideas, good uthopies, good projects. The advantage we humans have over the sculptures is that we are not rigid: we can move, we can do, we can go forward.

I wish you lots of birds in your head to invite to love, to create, to live, to make mistakes, to learn. And above all, to do.

Kisses, hugs.
