MIRROR, REFLECTION

MIRROR, REFLECTION

I gaze at the Ponte Vecchio in the distance, in beautiful Florence. Its image is reflected in the serenity of the river Arno -a symmetrical vision, essential. I just capture the light of the moment. And, as an spontaneous association, I remember one of my favourite tunes, “Spiegel im Spiegel” by Arvo Pärt, always playing, with me, when I drive, when I write. We are mirrors. Moreover, we are mirrors facing mirrors. As humans, we can only recognize in others what we are. Mirrors facing mirrors that reflect light and shadows of the others. Perhaps because of this, Baltasar Gracián said this: “Whoever criticizes, confesses.” Mirrors facing mirrors.

Kisses, hugs.
